Ambassador for the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to Bangladesh with residence in New Delhi called on the Foreign Minister

Mrs. Milena Santana Ramirez, Ambassador for the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to Bangladesh with residence in New Delhi called on the Foreign Minister Dr. Dipu Moni in the Foreign Ministry today evening.

Foreign Minister Dr. Dipu Moni welcomed the Ambassador for coming back to Bangladesh. Dr. Dipu Moni mentioned about Venezuela’s leadership role to strengthen the NAM and expressed that Bangladesh and Venezuela cherish similar values of peace, freedom, democracy and human rights. Foreign Minister also stated that Bangladesh deeply values the bonds of friendship with Venezuela. Dr. Dipu Moni reiterated Bangladesh’s intention to intensify bilateral relations through exchange of high-level visits which was potential for mutually beneficial economic and technical cooperation. Foreign Minister said that we have to learn more from experience of Venezuela in the petroleum / energy sector. Dr. Dipu Moni mentioned about Bangladesh’s continued support to Venezuela at the UN and other multilateral fora. She also expressed that Bangladesh’s Foreign policy is directed towards global and regional peace and security. The Foreign Minister of Venezuela agrees to visit in Bangladesh and Bangladesh also provides an official invitation to visit in Bangladesh.
