Statement on Bangladesh-Thailand relations by Foreign Secretary Hemayetuddin at Zia International Airport, Dhaka, Friday, 22 September 2006 on his return from NAM summit in Havana

Bangladesh's bilateral relations with Thailand are close and cordial and will remain so. The developments that have taken place in Thailand for whatever reasons are, of course, Thailand's matter, but we're monitoring the situation very carefully. The remarks made by the present Thai authorities of quick return to democracy are reassuring.
