Karachi, 10 March 2023:

A 46-member business delegation from Pakistan, organized by the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) is expected to participate in the three-day "Bangladesh Business Summit" to be held in Dhaka during 11-13 March 2023.

Bangladesh High Commission in Islamabad and the Bangladesh Deputy High Commission in Karachi have extended necessary supports including extending necessary visas to the business delegation. The Missions also coordinated with the FPCCI Headquarters in Karachi.

The Pakistani business delegation will participate at the Bangladesh Business Summit, which will be inaugurated by the Hon’ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on 11 March 2022 at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC) and where more than 200 business leaders from 17 countries are expected to participate.

The summit, which is being arranged at the 50^th Anniversary of the establishment of the apex business body in Bangladesh, the Bangladesh Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI), is aimed to provide a platform for business leaders and entrepreneurs to network and explore business opportunities in Bangladesh. The Pakistan business delegation hope to strengthen trade ties and explore opportunities for collaboration between the two countries. The Pakistan business delegation includes representatives from a wide range of sectors, including textiles, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, and information technology.

According to the Boston Consulting Group, Bangladesh is currently one of the five fastest-growing economies in the world and has the 35th largest GDP and Bangladesh will be a trillion-dollar economy with the 9^th largest market in the world by 2040. The Bangladesh Business Summit is expected to boost the trade and investment in the region and beyond and the Pakistani busiess leaders are eger to be a part of the journey for mutial benefits of the cpuntries.
